We welcome families with young children to our services and to our community. Our services include both active times (singing, dancing, group prayer) and quieter times (meditation, silent prayer, rabbi's teachings). Please offer your child quiet toys (books, puzzles, stickers) during the quiet times.
Childcare may be available for those who call ahead to register. We have the use of a large, well-equipped play space downstairs.
In addition to Shabbat services, P'nai Or offers families the opportunity to participate in lively Purim, Chanukah, and Simchat Torah celebrations.
We can offer families resources and guidance about home-based Jewish education and information about a local Sunday school open to non-members. In addition, Rabbi Andrea is available for bar/bat mitzvah preparation.
